WHAT: The Yards is going all-out to celebrate National Ice Cream Day by popping up a larger-than-life retro ice cream experience! From Friday, July 30th through Sunday, August 1st, The Yards’ Sun Deck will be transformed with a 16 foot, instagrammable Ice Cream Social installation for guests to enjoy a scoop in style. The colorful installation is a picture perfect moment with different backdrops including a human-sized ice cream cone and retro ice cream parlor!
Additionally, Ice Cream Jubilee and Jeni’s will provide a free scoop of their delicious ice cream to the first 100 guests on Saturday, July 31 and Sunday, August 1 who post a photo of the ice cream-themed installation at Yards Park. To receive a free ice cream, guests must tag @TheYardsDC in their tasty pic and show it off to event staff. After posting, grab your ice cream and enjoy the last weekend of National Ice Cream Month at The Yards!
WHEN: The installation will be up from July 30th through August 1st for all to enjoy.
Jeni’s and Ice Cream Jubilee will be giving out free scoops for social media posts July 31st and Sunday, August 1st beginning at noon each day – while supplies last!
