For a fun new way to shop this summer, consumers can look forward to the BID’s Georgetown Parasol Share program. A thousand custom-branded nylon parasols will be placed in businesses across Georgetown in an effort to embrace the sharing economy. Shoppers will be able to “Use a parasol to shop and stroll, then drop it off when it’s time to roll!”
Users of this unique protection against the sun are encouraged to share the experience with their friends on social media by using the hashtags #GeorgetownParasolShare and #BeatTheHeat.
