Celebrating its 24th year, the Taste of Georgetown had great weather and a good day for a lot of eaters — choosing from more than 30 restaurants — Sunday, Sept. 24, on K Street NW at the Georgetown waterfront. The food event has grown and is now co-owned by Washingtonian and the Georgetown Business Improvement District and presented by Infiniti with a slew of sponsors, including AT&T and the D.C. Lottery.

The festival benefits the Georgetown Ministry Center, which was created to help the homeless. It is located at Grace Episcopal Church, where the Taste of Georgetown was begun by Rector David Bird and church member Robert Egger, who later founded D.C. Central Kitchen, another helper of the homeless.
