This Thursday: Breakfast with Air and Space’s Jakab

Peter L. Jakab, chief curator of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, will speak at Georgetown Media Group’s first Cultural Leadership Breakfast of 2018, Thursday, March 8, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the George Town Club, 1530 Wisconsin Ave. NW.
Jakab, who has a Ph.D. from Rutgers University, specializes in the history of technology, aerospace history and American social and cultural history. At Air and Space since 1983, he will talk about the staged seven-year renovation of the museum, budgeted at nearly $1 billion. Construction is expected to launch this summer.
