Scott Tucker, artistic director of the Choral Arts Society of Washington since 2012, will speak at Georgetown Media Group’s next Cultural Leadership Breakfast, Thursday, May 3, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the George Town Club, 1530 Wisconsin Ave. NW.
Prior to becoming Choral Arts’ second artistic director, succeeding founder Norman Scribner, Tucker was director of choral music at Cornell University for 17 years. Comprising a symphonic chorus of nearly 200 singers and the 27-member Chamber Singers, Choral Arts is one of the top five American choruses by annual budget.
Sponsored by Bonhams, the May 3 breakfast is the 26th in the series. Admission is $25 ($20 for George Town Club members). To RSVP, email email@example.com or call 202-338-4833.
