LAST CHANCE: Thursday’s Breakfast With Scott Tucker

Scott Tucker, artistic director of the Choral Arts Society of Washington since 2012, will speak at Georgetown Media Group’s next Cultural Leadership Breakfast, Thursday, May 3, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the George Town Club, 1530 Wisconsin Ave. NW.

Tucker succeeded Norman Scribner, Choral Arts’ founding artistic director, in 2012 after serving as director of choral music at Cornell University for 17 years. Comprising a symphonic chorus of nearly 200 singers and the 27-member Chamber Singers, Choral Arts is one of the top five American choruses by annual budget.

The speaker at the June breakfast, on June 7, will be Gus Casely-Hayford, new director of the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art. Bonhams is the series sponsor. Admission to either breakfast is $25 ($20 for George Town Club members). To RSVP, email richard@georgetowner.com or call 202-338-4833.
