LAST CHANCE: This Thursday’s Breakfast With Molly Smith

•Molly Smith, artistic director of Arena Stage — where she led the creation of the Mead Center for American Theater, D.C.’s second-largest performing arts center — will be the featured speaker at Georgetown Media Group’s next Cultural Leadership Breakfast. The event will take place on Thursday, June 13, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at 1310 Kitchen & Bar by Jenn Crovato, 1310 Wisconsin Ave. NW.
Devoted to new play development at Arena, which she joined in 1998, and earlier at Perseverance Theatre, which she founded in Juneau, Alaska, Smith has worked alongside such playwrights as Sarah Ruhl, Paula Vogel, Wendy Wasserstein, Karen Zacarías, Eric Coble and Charles Randolph-Wright.
