Molly Smith, artistic director of Arena Stage — where she led the creation of the Mead Center for American Theater, D.C.’s second-largest performing arts center — will be the featured speaker at Georgetown Media Group’s next Cultural Leadership Breakfast. The event will take place on Thursday, June 13, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at 1310 Kitchen & Bar by Jenn Crovato, 1310 Wisconsin Ave. NW.
Devoted to new play development at Arena, which she joined in 1998, and earlier at Perseverance Theatre, which she founded in Juneau, Alaska, Smith has worked alongside such playwrights as Sarah Ruhl, Paula Vogel, Wendy Wasserstein, Karen Zacarías, Eric Coble and Charles Randolph-Wright.
Admission to the June 13 breakfast, sponsored by Bonhams and Long & Foster, is $25. To RSVP, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 202-338-4833.
Please note: This Cultural Leadership Breakfast will NOT take place at the George Town Club. The location is 1310 Kitchen & Bar in the Georgetown Inn, 1310 Wisconsin Ave. NW. Valet parking at the Georgetown Inn is complimentary with validation for breakfast attendees.
