Douglas E. Yeuell, executive director of the Atlas Performing Arts Center since 2014, will be this month’s speaker in Georgetown Media Group’s Cultural Leadership Breakfast Series. The event will take place on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at 1310 Kitchen & Bar by Jenn Crovato, 1310 Wisconsin Ave. NW.
As executive director of the resident Joy of Motion Dance Center, Yeuell, a dancer and dance teacher, was present at the art center’s creation in the early 2000s in the shell of a 1938 movie theater on H Street NE. He will describe how the Atlas, also home to Mosaic Theater Company and presenter of the annual Intersections Festival, has been a key player in the neighborhood’s rebirth.
Admission to the Oct. 17 event, sponsored by Long & Foster and Bonhams, is $25. To RSVP, email email@example.com or call 202-338-4833.
Please note: This Cultural Leadership Breakfast will NOT take place at the George Town Club. The location is 1310 Kitchen & Bar in the Georgetown Inn, 1310 Wisconsin Ave. NW. Valet parking at the Georgetown Inn is complimentary with validation for breakfast attendees.
