Following Pandemic Year, 39th Annual RAMMY Winners Announced

There’s no doubt about it, it’s been a rough year-and-a-half for the restaurant industry. A sense of resilience and hope emerged last night however, at the 39th Annual RAMMY Awards, hosted by the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) almost simultaneously with television’s annual Emmy Awards. Fully vaccinated restaurant industry professionals and fans met at the convention center downtown to honor those who’ve overcome an array of challenges and hurdles due to the ongoing pandemic. Restaurateurs who let their creativity and resourcefulness shine were feted.

A complete list of winners can be found below. Noteworthy Georgetown-area winners include a good neighbor award earned by Pizzeria Paradiso and Georgetown University graduate Geoff Tracy (aka Chef Geoff) who earned a “Splendid Holidays at Home Offerings” award. New Georgetown deli Call Your Mother got a “Stellar Brunches at Home” honor.
