Make-A-Wish: 40 Years of Reaching for the Stars

A packed ballroom celebrated 40 years of wishes at the annual Wish Ball for Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic at the Ritz-Carlton on 22nd Street on Feb. 25. Full of joy and inspiration, the special evening showed the magic of a wish. The fundraiser made dreams come true for local kids facing critical illnesses. As gala organizers have said: “A wish brings healing beyond medicine. Research shows, and physicians agree — wishes can help improve a child’s quality of life and produce better health outcomes.”
