Farewell for Post’s Fred Ryan

On Monday evening, July 31, Patty Stonesifer, Sally Buzbee and David Shipley hosted a farewell reception for Fred Ryan at the Washington Post headquarters on K Street.
The reception was well attended by the newsroom and beyond, as many came to wish Ryan well as he leaves his role as publisher and CEO of the Post to start the Center on Public Civility at the Ronald Reagan Foundation and Institute.
Gifts for the former publisher — who has a house on 31st Street in Georgetown — included an image of the Washington Post front page on his first day of work there in 2014, an imperial bottle of fine red wine and a Persian rug. The lively crowd enjoyed Champagne and hors d’oeuvres by Well Dunn.
