Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC and Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak DC served up the second Georgetown Wine & Dine, a culinary showcase held in collaboration with Company Fine Wine on Nov. 2 and 3.
This year’s Georgetown Wine & Dine featured culinary talent including chefs Nina Compton, Adam Sobel, Michael White, Jose Mendin, Hillary Sterling, Brad Kilgore, Gilles Epié, Stéphane Gratier and Yuan Tang alongside chef Mina, and benefited the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center at Sibley Memorial Hospital.
Building on its inaugural year, the 2023 Georgetown Wine & Dine featured two full days of culinary festivities, including tastings, masterclasses and a chefs dinner crafted by Michelin-starred chefs and James Beard Award-winners, as well as elevated decor elements by renowned event planner Marcy Blum. Showcasing the talents of chef Michael Mina and those who built their careers under his wing, including chef Adam Sobel, this gastronomic retreat provided guests with unparalleled access to some of the greatest chefs in the country, with intimate gatherings and events taking them behind the culinary curtain.
The Georgetown Wine & Dine Weekend’s showpiece event, the Fine Wine & Celebrity Chef Dinner, held on the evening of Nov. 3 at Bourbon Steak, was hosted by chefs Mina and Sobel and featured visiting chefs Nina Compton, Michael White, Jose Mendin, Hillary Sterling and Brad Kilgore in addition to local D.C. talent Gilles Epié, Stéphane Gratier and Yuan Tang. The intimate, six-course meal included one dish from each celebrated chef, with wine pairings selected for each course from host winemakers from Peter Michael, Krug Champagne and Domaine H. William Harlan in collaboration with Company Fine Wine.
The Georgetown Wine & Dine continues the Four Seasons Hotel Washington, D.C.’s long standing support for cancer research, furthering the mission of The Race to Beat Cancer, which the hotel originally launched 42 years ago. This year’s beneficiary, the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center at Sibley Memorial Hospital is among the top cancer centers in the country.
