Georgetown House Tour Featured Homes: 3045 West Lane Keys

This year’s guide to the Georgetown House Tour features a Q&A with the owners of the homes on the tour, compiled by Georgetown House Tour Co-Chair Azali Kassum. Donna Leanos is Georgetown House Tour Co-Chair again this year. Below is the list of questions we asked, followed by the owners’ in-depth responses, edited for space and clarity.

Our questions:

Why did you choose to move to Georgetown?

What in particular drew you to your home?

Was your objective a renovation, a restoration, both or neither?

Did you engage an architect?

Did you engage an interior designer?

What are some of your favorite features of your home?

What drove your inspiration and design choices?

3045 West Lane Keys / Hannah Biggie and Jon Reed

We both love the history in Georgetown and always wanted to live somewhere where we don’t need to drive in our day-to-day lives. Our house has amazing space for a Georgetown home and plenty of space for friends and family to visit and stay. We also love that it’s tucked away off of Georgetown’s main streets. We chose this house because it was a new, fully-renovated project. We didn’t have to do any work on it at all! No, I love to decorate myself and choose art and finishes. Even if it’s not as cohesive as professionally decorated home, it’s more comfortable for us this way. The large windows, private outdoor space in the front and back, open living space on the main floor are great for families. Feng shui and nature and Asian art are all very inspirational for us!
